As CEO of Iltar-Italbox S.p.A., I am proud to present Iltarian Plastic Kft. as a strategic pillar of the Group's industrial expansion in Central and Eastern Europe. Founded in 2022, the Tiszaújváros plant represents a cutting-edge EPP production hub, built on over 60 years of the Group's experience in technical foam technologies and on an established presence in the automotive sector. The plant was developed with a clear objective: to combine advanced technologies, excellent quality, and scalable production capacity.
All installed machinery is newly acquired and based on the most recent technologies available. The machinery fleet covers a wide range of EPP processes, including large-format moulding systems and specialized solutions. Among these, the TransTec platform represents a distinctive technological element: a large-scale sliding machine, designed for co-moulding processes, which enables the production of complex, high-added-value components with integrated functionalities.
In addition to moulding, our technological capabilities extend significantly within the EPP process. We use ultrasonic welding for precise and resistant joints, automated screwing systems directly integrated into the EPP components, and robotic control systems that guarantee a high level of quality in line with the most demanding OEM standards. This approach allows us to provide not only components, but complete and engineered solutions.
Quality is a central element of our operations. The site has obtained benchmark automotive certifications such as IATF 16949 and TISAX and has been awarded the Hungaropack Award for sustainability and innovation. Our approach is based on advanced controls, process stability, and full compliance with customers' specific requirements.
After a successful start-up phase, 2026 marks a further phase of growth. We have expanded the team and moved from one to two production shifts, with the introduction of a third shift planned for the second half of the year. This will allow us to further increase production capacity and support the increase in volumes, including important OEM programmes in Debrecen. In parallel, we are strengthening our operational infrastructure, with the development of external warehouse solutions and continuous investments in energy efficiency. Sustainability and responsible resource management are an integral part of our strategy.
